MEMBERSHIP QUESTIONS
Why is TCC a membership campground?
Firstly, we are seeking to build a community of like-minded people who give priority to God, Country and Family, in that order. We have rules and décor that reflect those beliefs and do not want anyone to be offended by them.
Secondly, TCC is a campground that is still “under construction”. There are certain liability and insurance concerns that are met with the signing of a waiver.
Do I have to be a member to make a reservation?
Absolutely not! You are more than welcome to pay 25% more as a guest. But if you stay for 4 days, the membership pays for itself.
How can I get a membership and save 25%?
Memberships can be purchased on our website listed below. https://www.rvoddsquad.com/join
There are three options to choose from including the Park Pass for $97 / year, the Nomad for $297 / year, and the Founder at $497 / year. Each level gives you access to membership rates (a 25% discount) on all reservations plus discounts at the product store and other perks that increase with each level.
After the membership purchase has been made, you will receive immediate access to the reservation system using a temporary member id.
Later you’ll receive an email in a couple of days with your membership number and instructions for creating your personal log-in. Once you have done that, you are ready to enjoy the beauty that awaits you at TCC! If you want to make a reservation directly after purchasing a membership, you can call for special instructions (265-632-2103).
Can I come to see the campground or visit a registered guest?
Thunder Canyon campground has hundreds of acres of rustic & remote woods, creeks, waterfalls, and canyons. At some points along the creek, the canyon has an 80+ foot cliff.
Due to the natural setting of the campground, liabilities and insurance costs, we do not allow general public/non-member access.
If you plan to visit a guest that is currently staying at TCC, you must register with management and pay $20 per person for a day pass (4 hours).
We do not allow people to tour the campground, but if you are unsure about joining, you can book a stay as a non-member.
Once I have a membership, how can I book a stay?
You can book a reservation on the web site by clicking the link below. After logging in, click “Book Now” to the right of the logo. In the next screen, select “Reservations” from the left-side menu list. Enter your dates and select any site that is available for your dates. When you click Book It, the site will lead you through the payment process. If you want to make a reservation directly after purchasing a membership, you can call for special instructions (265-632-2103).

How much is the electricity on the Monthly & Quarterly sites?
Each site has an electric meter on the pedestal. We only charge for the electricity you use, and we only charge the rate we are charged by the power company. The electric is essentially a reimbursement.
Typically, the electric ranges from $40-$80 per month depending on your usage.
What is your cancellation policy?
Should you need to cancel your reservation, any fees paid (less the $3 processing fee) will be held as a credit. When you make a new reservation in the future, your credit will apply to any site or facility.
Should you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled arrival, you will be credited money paid minus one night’s stay and the $3 processing fee.
Do you offer discounts for longer stays?
The longer you stay, the more you save!
If you stay a week you get one night free (7 nights for the price of 6). Monthly discounts are as low as $25/night (plus electric)
Quarterly discounts are as low as $20/night (plus electric)
Are monthly stays allowed?
Yes! Monthly RV Rates are available at sites # 22 – #54 only for a membership rate of $750 per month plus electricity.
But you can save more if you go Quarterly! Members pay $600/month plus electric
Do you have annual RV site rates?
We love our RVers and wish we could have them around full time, but we are not prepared at this time to be able to accommodate annual rentals. This could change so again, check the web site for updates!
Are there any partial hook-up sites?
We have 5 partial hook up sites at this time, Sites #6, #10, #16, #17, & #18. They have water and 30/20 amp connections and can accommodate a small RV (24 foot max).
Do you have any cabins available for rent?
Although we have plans for refurbished cabins in the future, they are not yet ready to accommodate guests. We recommend you check out the RV rentals instead.
RV Rentals are just like cabins. Just bring your food and clothes. For more information, check out our RV Rental page below.
Do you have any sites that can be leased or purchased?
We are actively working on preparing lots for purchase or lease for our members. Due to the complexities involved, the time frame is unknown at this time. While it is underway, members can receive updates and information on the progress by being a member at the Founders Level or the Advisory Board.
Do you host special events?
We would love to discuss your special event. We would need to know the parameters of your event prior to further discussion. Contact us directly to discuss!
Our number is 256-632-2103 and our hours are 9-5 M-F and 10-3 on Saturday. You can also email us at [email protected]
RULE QUESTIONS
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check in time is 2 pm and check out time is 11 am. The public road leading to the camp gates is a narrow one-way road. To prevent RVs from trying to leave and arrive at the same time, we cannot make exceptions to our check in/check out times.
Can you bring in outside firewood?
While we cannot allow outside firewood on the campground, we have a self-service firewood station by the sheds by the Fellowship Hall. For $10 you can purchase a big bundle of local wood. Best camping firewood deal in America!
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, dogs (and cats) are allowed with some restrictions. No aggressive breeds are allowed. Pets must be leashed on a 6ft or less leash or penned when not inside your RV. PICK UP PET WASTE IMMEDIATELY. Aggression by your pet OR failure to clean up your pet’s waste may result in immediate eviction.
Why can’t I bring my pitbull?
For your safety and the safety of the other campers, pitbulls and aggressive pets are not allowed.
Why do I have to sign a waiver?
Due to the rustic nature of the campground, we need our guests to sign a waiver. The waiver explains common sense items such as the dangers of cliffs, poison ivy, and other natural “hazards.”
